Updates to GreenPoint Rated for new homes emphasize resiliency and low carbon design

GreenPoint Rated New Home Version 8 goes into effect January 1, 2020 and applies to GreenPoint Rated projects that will be permitted under California’s 2019 building code.

CALGreen mandatory measures are still prerequisites in GreenPoint Rated Version 8. Also, a new prerequisite requires that a Certified Energy Analyst prepare the project’s Title 24 compliance documents to help ensure they accurately reflect the building’s design and anticipated energy savings.
